11/7-8 Montclair State and the JUDL College Bridge Tournament
Not an MHL, but a good policy tournament, with college recruiters on hand. Nov/JV/V. Register through Brent Farrand (NewMathOff@aol.com).
11/8 Monticello (Directions)
NOTE: Novice LD will debate the Sept-Oct resolution, JV LD will debate Nov-Dec resolution.
Registration from 8:30-9:00. First round at 10:00. Awards targeted for 6:00.
11/14-5 Bump Tournament at Hendrick Hudson
Not an MHL event
but including a novice LD division. Nov-Dec topic.
11/17 "Little Lexington" (not officially an MHL but strongly recommended for teams able to travel; housing is available Friday night)
12/6 Byram Hills
NOTE: We will begin registration starting at 12:00 (following SATs). Probably a 3-rounder.
The school is right off 684 and/or Rt 22, depending on how well you know the

Another invitational not affiliated with MHL, but this year offering novice LD for the first time; Jim Menick tabbing LD.
12/12-3 Ridge Invitational. Another non-MHL event, but including both Varsity and Nov LD & (either novice or JV) Policy divisions.
1/9-10 Arthur L. Johnson
1/31-2/1 Newark. New setup: Novice divisions going two days, added to their invitational.
2/6-7 Scarsdale (LD only). Another non-MHL event, but including a novice division. And in some rounds, the varsity debaters judge the novices (confusing in tab, busy for you, fun for all).
2/21 The Bronx High School of Science.
The "I Didn't Go Away for Winter Break" Non-Invitational.
2/27-8 Lakeland. In conjunction with NYSFL Regionals and Lakeland Invitational.
3/20-1 The Northeast Championships (probably Needham, Ma)
Nov, JV and V LD / Nov, JV and V Policy / Open PF.LD will debate Jan-Feb rez.
Details to come on our annual culminating event open to all interested parties (MHL membership not required)
Schools with room available are strongly urged to host. It can be a nice money-maker for you (selling lunch/candy/water) and a fun event for your debaters to be on the other side of the tournament business. Host schools get free registration at their own venue. You provide the rooms, we provide the tournament!
